Small handmade ceramic fruit bowl. This bowl is porcelain and made on the pottery wheel and then hand carved. This one of a kind bowl is hand-carved to look like slices of seashells. It is glazed with lovely shades of cream, pink and brown.
Measures 4.5 inches tall, and 7.75 inches wide.
Handmade hand-sculpted, one of a kind ceramic lighthouse. This piece of art was made on the pottery wheel and then carved and altered by hand. the lighthouse and wave bowl were made in two separate pieces and then the lighthouse was attached inside the wave bowl. This piece was raku fired, which is a pottery technique where the piece is taken from the fire when the glaze reaches its melting point and put into a pit with combustible materials. This turns all exposed clay black and changes the colors of the glaze, revealing all sorts of gorgeous metallic colors. This process often causes imperfections in the glaze surface as the combustibles touch the molten glaze while it's cooling.
The lighthouse stands 11.5 inches tall and is 12.5 inches wide at the widest point of the bowl.
